We all share that common desire to figure out what truly brings happiness to our lives. Everyone takes a different path up that same mountain, but I hope that this blog inspires those who need that little motivation to step out of their comfort zone and take the necessary steps that they, personally need to take to get on that journey.
“We can’t be afraid of change. You may feel very secure in the pond that you are in, but if you never venture out of it, you will never know that there is such a thing as an ocean, a sea. Holding onto something that is good for you now, may be the very reason why you don’t have something better.”

The environment I had grown up in, had instilled in me what they thought a person should do in their lifetime; buy a home, work hard, save your money, get married and have children. But being on the verge of turning 30, and experiencing the loss of a coworker, changed my whole perspective. It was an overwhelming time for me. A time of heavy reflection of the decade I would soon be closing the chapter on. By comparison of my peers, it looked like I had accomplished a lot in my 20’s, in everybody else’s eyes. But after a failed relationship, an unhappy career and the realization that I had not taken the time to have some fun and live in the moment like most of my friends in my 20’s, left me unfulfilled, lost and fell in a deep depression that lasted for a few years. I needed to change something if I was going to get out of this rut….. So taking small steps and most importantly changing my whole attitude and perspective, things started coming together and have been gaining momentum ever since.
“The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled.
For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers.”
~M. Scott Peck
So…I decided to simplify my life by giving away most of my possessions, selling my home and vehicle, quit a great career, tap into the savings and do some traveling to re-evaluate a few things in my life.
So raising a pint to all of you; here’s to loved ones, living life to the fullest and thoughts becoming things (choose the good ones) Cheers friends. Here goes….
“THIS IS YOUR LIFE. Do what you love and do it often. IF YOU DON’T LIKE SOMETHING, CHANGE IT. If you don’t like your job, QUIT. If you don’t have enough time, STOP WATCHING TV. If you are looking for the love of your life, stop; they will be waiting for you when you START DOING THE THINGS YOU LOVE. Stop over analyzing, ALL EMOTIONS ARE BEAUTIFUL. When you eat, APPRECIATE EVERY LAST BITE. Life is simple. Open your mind, arms and heart to new things and people, we are united in our differences. Ask the next person you see what their passion is and SHARE YOUR INSPIRING DREAM WITH THEM. TRAVEL OFTEN; Getting lost will help you find yourself. Some opportunities only come once, SEIZE THEM. Life is about the people you meet and the things you create with them, so go out and start creating. Life is Short. LIVE YOUR DREAM AND WEAR YOUR PASSION.”
